Welcome to the Family Connect platform. These terms and conditions set out the rules that govern your use of the platform as a teacher / sheikh. By creating your account or using the platform you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not create an account.
1. Definitions
- “The Platform”: the Family Connect website and app and all the services it provides.
- “Platform administration”: the team responsible for operating and managing the platform and answering enquiries.
- “User”: anyone who creates an account on or uses the platform, including parents, children, teachers, centres and service providers.
- “Content”: everything published or sent through the platform — texts, images, files, audio and video recordings and messages.
2. Account and security
- The details you register with must be correct, complete and up to date, and you are responsible for updating them when they change.
- Your password is confidential; you are responsible for keeping it safe and for all activity carried out through your account.
- You must tell the platform administration immediately, through “Contact us”, if you suspect any unauthorised use of your account.
- It is not permitted to create more than one account for the same person or entity in order to cheat, or to impersonate any person or entity.
3. Teacher's obligations
- The teacher is responsible for the accuracy of their details, qualifications and experience shown, and the administration may ask for proof.
- The teacher undertakes to deal honestly and respectfully with children and their parents, and to keep to the announced class and course times.
- Private contact with children outside the platform or without their parents' knowledge is prohibited, and so is requesting any personal data from them.
4. Courses and plans
- Uploading courses may require a paid plan as announced by the platform; the plan is activated after the administration confirms payment.
- The teacher is responsible for the accuracy of their courses' content and its suitability for the target ages.
- The administration may hide any course or suspend the account if the terms are breached or documented complaints are received.
5. Child protection
- Children's safety is the platform's top priority; any content or behaviour that harms children, endangers them or exploits them in any way is strictly prohibited.
- Requesting private contact details from children, or contacting them outside the platform without their parents' knowledge and consent, is prohibited.
- The platform administration reserves the right to suspend any account immediately and to report to the competent authorities whenever children's safety is affected.
6. Acceptable use
- Respect public decency and Islamic values, and respect all users in every conversation and post.
- Posting any offensive, unlawful or misleading content, content that infringes others' rights, or any unauthorised advertising, is prohibited.
- Attempting to hack or disrupt the platform, to collect users' data or to misuse the services is prohibited.
7. Privacy and data protection
- The platform collects only the data needed to provide the service, and uses it to run accounts, communication and notifications and to improve the service.
- The platform does not sell users' data to any third party and shares it only as needed to provide the service, or when the competent authorities request it as required by law.
- You may ask to edit your data or delete your account through “Contact us”.
8. Intellectual property
- All rights to the platform, its design, logo and original content are reserved to the platform administration.
- The content you upload remains yours, and you grant the platform the right to show it to the relevant users as needed to provide the service.
9. Disclaimer
- The platform is provided “as is”; the administration does its best to keep the service continuous and accurate, without guaranteeing that it is free from faults or interruptions.
- The platform is a communication intermediary; it is not responsible for dealings or agreements made between users outside the scope of its services.
10. Suspension and account termination
- The platform administration may suspend, restrict or delete any account if these terms are breached, with notice where possible.
- You may stop using the platform or ask to delete your account at any time.
11. Changes to the terms
- The platform administration may update these terms from time to time; the version number and date appear at the top of the page.
- For material changes you will be asked to accept the new version before you continue using the platform.
